Learn Vietnamese online: The Causative Form – …ĐI

 

“Đi” is placed at the end of a sentence to indicate the Causative form (demand, ask someone to do something). It can be used with the word “hãy”: “hãy….đi” (to urge someone to do something)

 

Example:
– Hãy mua táo đi! (Let’s buy the apple!)
– Anh hãy nói gì đi! (Please say something!)
– Em đi đi! (Please go!)
– Mua rau đi, em! (Hey you, buy the vegetable!)
