They are the multiple indices of the whole group but there are the following differences:

1. Tất cả can be combined with wide range of nouns and stands before determiners: những, các, mọi… It can be used instead of Cả/ Toàn bộ/ Toàn thể and it’s grammatically correct but the meaning might change in some circumstances.

2. Cả only associates with collective nouns such as gia đình (family), làng (village), nước (nation), trường (school), lớp (class).. and with specifying time nouns such as ngày (day), giờ (hour), tháng (month). Năm (year)…

3. Toàn bộ only associates with nouns referring to things/stuff such as đồ đạc (stuff/things), cây cối (plants), nhà (houses), xe (vehicles)…

4. Toàn thể only associates with nouns referring to human such as giáo viên (teachers), sinh viên (students), nhân dân (people)…
