Vietnamese and living in Vietnam. They filled the air with laughters throughout their presentations. They talked about their families, what they were studying, where they had traveled within Vietnam and other countries, all in Vietnamese. Everybody in the room was really impressed by their short-time learning Vietnamese yet speaking so good.
Kayla introduced the fascinating life of hers in Sài Gòn with her roommate Trâm. She interned at LIN a non-profit organization. She once traveled to but she didn’t forget to practice her Vietnamese as well as do the research on the health standard of Rag Lai and Chăm people. Next month she will travel to Cẩm Đức to continue her research. She expressed her interest in the life in Vietnam where she can meet lots of nice people, eat lots of delicious dishes and make lots of new friends.
This is her testimonial after finishing her learning Vietnamese course at VLS: Thank you so much for helping me learn Vietnamese! It has been such an amazing experience for me to live in Vietnam and learn from the wonderful teachers here. I hope that I will be able to continue to learn and practice Vietnamese after I return to the US. Then maybe one day I will be able to return to Vietnam and speak to people in Vietnamese more fluently. Thank you again for everything, it was hard at first, but one of the most rewarding things I have done here.
