Coming to Đồng Tháp Mười, tourists will have a chance to become a very farmer in the west clothes named “Bà ba”, go fishing or get on a boat to pick the beautiful lotus in the early morning. “Chuột Đồng” is a dish that not everyone is eager to try. However, if you’re brave enough to try it, you will love it. It can be served as grill, rotating rollers, sautéed and roasted salted.

The dishes related to lotus are very diverse: lotus rice, lotus root salad, lotus steamed chicken.. etc. Besides, the price is reasonable. Once you try it, you will never forget its smell and flavor.

The period that lotus blossoms most beautifully is from July to September in lunar calendar. There are lots of coaches which can drive you from the western bus station to Sa Dec or Cao Lanh city. Tháp Mười tourist resort is located in Mỹ Hòa Commune, Tháp Mười District and the road to the resort is easy to access, just 8 km from Cao Lãnh city.
